The Kenilworth and District Agricultural Society is announcing, after careful consideration and due diligence, that it is with great regret a decision has been taken to cancel the Kenilworth Show 2021. The next Kenilworth Show will now take place in 2022.
As a charitable organisation, the Board of Trustees have a responsibility to ensure that financially the society is robust and can continue to promote education in agriculture, the countryside and rural life throughout Warwickshire. Unfortunately, due to the Coronavirus pandemic instigating an unprecedented situation for us and a period of sustained uncertainty, to continue planning a 2021 show would be too great a risk for the society’s finances. Equally, it is essential to take every measure possible to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our volunteer committee members, businesses and organisations working with us in the months leading up to the show and particularly the members, visitors, trade stands, competitors, exhibitors and sponsors attending on the day of the show.
It has been an extremely difficult decision to take and understandably hugely disappointing for so many, we are however planning (following Government guidelines) on running more social activities, crop competitions and hopefully smaller focussed events, such as equine and livestock shows throughout 2021.
The society would like to thank everyone for their patience, understanding and continued support as we navigate through the coming year.
