KADAS Talk - Charlie Beaty

KADAS held it's very first virtual talk in March this year and the event was very well attended, which was great for the society.

Our evening kicked off with an introductory talk from Clive Briscoe, Chairman of Warwickshire Farming Community Network (FCN). Clive explained that for anyone currently struggling, whether that be with the business, health, family or the farm, FCN is there for them. They will listen and help find advice and further support.

Their call line is open to anyone and further details can be found on their website www.fcn.org.uk

We were then delighted to welcome Charlie Beaty, a local young farmer. Charlie talked about her journey so far, what she sees is the future for British Farming and the projects she is currently involved in to promote our industry. Her talk was inspiring and her enthusiasm for UK farming makes her a huge asset for the industry.

Charlie Beaty

Charlie recently returned from working in agriculture in Australia and New Zealand. Charlie is now back home working alongside her parents on the family farm in Warwickshire. She has been an active member of the YFC and is a fantastic ambassador for British Farming, recently becoming one of Farmers Weekly's young farmer columnists.

Our thanks go to Charlie for giving up her time to speak to us, especially when she was in the thick of lambing, an incredibly busy time on the farm! Click on the link to follow Charlie and her work on the family farm Meriden Farm
