KADAS Autumn 2020 Newsletter

Updated: Jan 3

Covid-19 I hope this newsletter finds you all well in these continued difficult times. Since our last newsletter the directors have held a couple of meetings to keep things ticking over. All of these have been via Zoom and despite a few technical issues this has worked well. Who isn't now a whiz on this platform?! All future scheduled committee meetings for 2020 are currently on hold but as soon as we have some new dates in the diary I shall forward these on to you.

KADAS AGM The date for our annual AGM is Monday 7th December 2020 however due to current legislation it will not be possible to hold this in the normal way. Plans are currently underway to ensure an AGM is held but this will be in a different format. I anticipate all the necessary paperwork going out to members sometime at the beginning of November. Committee Vacancies We currently have a few vacancies on our various committees. If you feel you could devote a little of your time to the society please do get in touch for further information.

2021 Kenilworth Show

The date for our 2021 show is Saturday 5th June. No one knows what the future holds but we are working hard behind the scenes in preparation for the show next year. We shall, of course, keep you up to date with any news and developments in regards to this. Trade Stands and Sponsorship If you have a business and are interested in having a stand at the show please do get in touch. We are always keen to hear from any agricultural, rural and local food or artisan businesses who would like to get involved and be part of our show. Trade applications and sponsorship information and updates will all be available on our website later in the year.

Return of Cups Can we ask for all those who are in possession of cups, from both our crops competitions and the 2019 show, to arrange for these to now be returned. If you email me info@kenilworthshow.co.uk I can let you have the names and addresses for collection points. Hopefully there is one close to you and you can drop them off.

Volunteers The Kenilworth Show would not be the success it is without our fantastic team of volunteers. We are however always in need of further help to run both the society and the show. These roles are suited to a wide range of skills and interests and help is needed throughout the year as well as on the show day itself. If you are interested in getting involved we would love to hear from you. We have recently had a few people come forward and this is greatly appreciated and to you we say 'thank you'. We shall be adding a volunteers page to our website shortly and here you will find further information on all the possible volunteering roles that are available.

As always TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE and we hope to see you all again very soon.
